Synchronisation of Incoming and Outgoing Trucks with
In - Plant Traffic
The software solution SyncroSupply synchronises the incoming and
outgoing of trucks with the in-plant loading point capacities, as for example
slots, workers or fork lift trucks.
Insufficient communication between external logistics ( suppliers and forwarders)
and in-plant logistics frequently causes an unbalanced utilisation of loading
points. This reinforces effects like long waiting periods for trucks (demurrage
claims), obstructions in the production process or lack of visibility concerning
loading capacities.
SyncroSupply solves this deficit by providing a coordination platform
between internal and external logistics and harmonising the trucks' approach
to the plant accordingly.
SyncroSupply creates an overall optimum from the following objectives:
Ensuring the material
supply for the production
Reducing the number
of trucks in the plant to avoid traffic jams and obstructions
Shortening waiting
times for the trucks and thus reducing eventual demurrage claims
Harmonising the trucks
approach to the plant by adjustment to demand and capacities
of slots
Automated prioritising
of important incoming or outgoing deliveries
Avoiding investments
for additional infrastructure as for example more parking or
buffer space
Coordination of external
and internal transport activities to the same loading points
SyncroSupply
consists of three
modules which may be used
individually or in combination
with each other:
Planning
OnlineControl
GateControl.

Using SyncroSupply for the dispatch of transport units provides many
advantages:
Optimised utilisation of loading points, parking sites and buffer places
(gain in productivity!)
More efficient handling of trucks at the gate
Allows for a continuous production supply
Optimised approach of the trucks to the plant
Reduction of waiting times for external trucks and thus reduced amount of
demurrage claims
